Flemington Tennis Club T-shirt sale ends
More than 30 “bird’s-eye-view” T-shirts were sold during the online sale, which ended Dec. 15.
Flemington Tennis Club members (and a couple non-members) showed their support for the tennis facility during a one-month online sale of T-shirts.
The all-cotton T-shirts feature a design that is a graphic representation of the club’s three tennis courts as seen from above with “Flemington Tennis Club” in bold letters along the side and “Est. 1927” in small type below to indicate the year the club was founded.
Proceeds from the sale will help support the club, which relies on annual membership dues to cover operating costs and is run entirely by volunteers.
T-shirts are available for pickup (at Sneakers Plus in Flemington) or delivery by Jan. 15, 2022.

From now through Dec. 15, 2021, Flemington Tennis Club is offering “bird’s-eye view” T-shirts for sale. The T-shirt design features a graphic representation of the three tennis courts as seen from above with “Flemington Tennis Club” in bold letters along the side and “Est. 1927” in small type below to indicate the year the club was founded.
“The design is simple yet elegant—just like the club,” said Flemington Tennis Club secretary David Hilgen (who denied having any input on the graphic, because, in his words, ‘a 2-year-old coulda done that.’). “When I lead tours of the facility for new members, this is what they see—three tennis courts side by side. Flemington Tennis Club is simple in its purpose—to provide a place for tennis lovers to play and socialize—and elegant in its execution of that purpose. It is truly a hidden gem located right in the heart of Flemington.”

The T-shirts will be available for one month only. The Flemington Tennis Club online store opens Nov. 15 and closes Dec. 15. All orders will be available for pickup or delivery by Jan. 15, 2022, just in time for Appreciate a Dragon Day (Jan. 16), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 17), Winnie the Pooh Day (Jan. 18) and, for the lovers out there, Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14).
